ClassPass in the UK: how it works, cost and cancelling

Updated October 2026

ClassPass is a fitness pass: you pay one monthly fee and get credits in return. You spend them on classes and gym visits at studios and gyms that partner with ClassPass. So you are not tied to one place or one type of workout.

How ClassPass works

  1. You choose a plan with a set number of credits per month.
  2. In the app or on the website you find a class or gym near you.
  3. You book with your credits. You see how many credits a class costs before you book.
  4. At the end of the month you get new credits.

Credits

  • Credits per class vary by studio and time of day. A class at a popular time can cost more credits
  • Unused credits roll over for one month. If you still don’t use them, they expire

Change or cancel

  • You can change, pause or cancel your plan any time
  • Check the exact terms in the app or on the ClassPass website

Who is ClassPass for?

Good for

  • People who like to try different workouts
  • Training one to three times a week
  • Training in different parts of the city, for example near home and near work
  • Expats and frequent travellers

Less suited to

  • Going to the gym more than three times a week: a regular gym is usually cheaper
  • Always wanting the same popular class time: those often cost more credits

Mostly training in the gym, several times a week? Then also take a look at Fitness First, a gym chain with its own clubs.
